well... my first thoughts are interesting..

1.) is it mentioned what the max about of disadvantages you can take is?

2.) i chose a different method than normal, i chose to have the USER use em as test subjects, one player had to pick 6 levels of disadvantages, mostly mental... but yet he was having difficulty thinking of any good ones, and the book didnt help much, there just wasnt that many "good" ones

all in all, it was a good game, filled with standard sort of just barely not teens anymore humor from my players..

mostly one of the players shooting another players character in the face..

the USER was testing them using a mutant with mass illusionary powers, the idea was to see if they were capable of working as a unit... of course they werent..lol

i'll tell more and possibly a recap when i get back

Yes, on page 3 under Power levels.

A Power level 3 character can have up to 10 ranks in disadvantages.

Hindrances and Quirks are used mostly for psychological disadvantages. You have to make them up yourself.
It’s purposely left open so that the player will have the room he may need to create a compelling and unique physiological problem.

I think you took a unique and interesting turn by giving the players all mental disads. Starting a game where everyone is kinda nuts and test subjects is cool. I may swipe this idea for a future game ;)

What are games for other than having fun? Sounds like everyone was a winner :)

the basic flow of that nights game was this:

3 faces amongst a crowd, these 3 people had seen each other on the El Train for quite a long time.

this day was unremarkable, except that as they entered nearer to the city, a breaking report came on the radio, though because of the noise, and the crappiness of the speaker, they could only hear bits and peices: "... attack on... city officials... fled... Sentinels...."

after a short time they heard the sounds of blasting coming from somewhere around them, then say one figure coming out of the side of a building, then another shortly after, clearly the former having been put through the building by the latter

the person doing the beat down had "accidently" manuevared the beatee near the tracks, and blasted him with some sort of shoulder mounted cannon, knocking him straight down on top of the engineers car, flattening it, and causing the other cars to derail..

the 3 individuals found themselves under too much rubble to even breathe.

some time later they each woke in a small room, at one time it had obviously been a medical examiners room, but all the shelves and equipment had been removed, except for the table they were on (naked), and a chair with a medium sized brown paper bag on it. They found no obvious signs of tampering, or injury to them, and after a few minutes decided to check the doors of their rooms, finding that even though the room appeared to have been quite old (50's maybe) the doors had been replaced with something much newer, solid steel, and only having a small plate the size of a matchbook where the knob should be.

one of the more rambunctious PC"s decided to look in the bag, finding surgical scrubs (well, just the shirt and pants), each found the same thing in their bag, the one who first looked decided to not put them on and use the sheet he found draped over him as a toga.

the second even more rabble rousing PC got dressed, but picked up the chair and proceeded to beat on the table and the walls. that PC shortly found that he felt a tingling in his feet, followed by the feeling of his face hitting the floor.

eventually they find themselves in another room, this one with chairs set up (like the chair Arnold Shwarzeneggar finds himself in, in Total Recall) these chairs were facing each other in a triangle arrangement.

after a few choice words by all parties, the room blackens, and they find themselves in a clearing in the forest when the lights come back on, they are dressed in BDU's that appear to be from vietnam era, with no identifying patches on them, and they have some sort of blasters as weapons.

the PC who tried to batter the table tried to steal the weapons from the other two, he promptly was shot in the face by one of the PC's, the PC who was shot managed to get shot quite a few more times before they heard the obviously recognizeable rumble (or so i thought) they hid, finding that what came through the trees into the clearing was only a reptilian leg, looking up they see what they can only describe as godzilla!.

they dont even try to fight, they simply run, shortly thereafter the terrain melds into an urban environment, and they find themselves still in BDU's still with weapons, but they've yet to stop shooting at that one PC. their vision goes black, and they find themselves back in the room with the chairs, this time with several unidentified figures walking around them taking notes

(during the urban setting, the PCs had more or less determined some of their powers, the Toga person has an entropy blast, thats all he knows of, the guy who keeps getting shot cant really figure out how hes still alive... hes immortal, with a fairly high body point count (like 44 or so), the other PC, a female played by a male, has figured out she has some sort of blaster power as well))

the men were taking notes... the 3 kept trying to get their attention, but they just kept writing notes, soon, their vision dimmed again, and they find themselves on the train...
