Our group is currently involved in an adventure that is taking us down to South America (yes, that one), but upon our last night in NYC we got attacked and dragged down to a USER base.

Once there, my elite Chimeran had a conversation with the lead scientist at the base, who had discovered an ancient portal that opened to another dimension that was a polar opposite version of our own. Even Ka energy was reversed here, drawing energy FROM life instead of being part OF life.

Entities here have made a deal with this branch of USER to help them take out the Chimeran threat by not only planning on joining the war, but by giving USER the technology and ability to channel negative Ka. They are waiting the two years out, and in exchange for thier help, the portal will be kept open so the entities can feed from this universe and its Ka using residents.

Granted they'll probably feed off of EVERYTHING that is living, but as humans are probably facing extinction anyways he's willing to take that risk. :)

A very interesting twist in this is that my other character who is a normal human is, unbeknowenst to her, a a clone created by USER and a sleeper agent, with thousands like her seeding communities around the world. When the Chimerans arrive they will awaken and give off a negative Ka energy field that will destroy most of the Ka using people on earth at that time, as well as any invading force.

When we left off, my Chimeran was about to be test subject 100 for the negative Ka field, the "human" was about to be dissected to analyze the information she had gathered so far (she is the prototype clone and has been out in the field the longest), our Angelos was shot and possibly bleeding to death and God knows where the rest of our party is.

I knew none of this stuff (including the human's origin) at the beginning of the game, and think negative Ka could be an interesting idea. Further complications with that character will occur as they hit the rest of the adventure.

Aaron is a pretty damn good GM, and most of our games tend to shake the pillars of heaven.

Heh...anyways....just felt like sharing. :)

Very cool twist of events. I’d love to hear how it turns out. I’m curious how you get away before the test are run.

Very cool indeed

Well we're not out yet, but we're most of the way there. :)

My Chimeran was left for a bit before the negative Ka beam was to be used to destroy him, and it occured to me that his blend of powers worked pretty well for getting out of the situation I was in. He has size manipulation, immortality and regeneration.

I grew to a point where the container would no longer hold me and burst through it (doing over 30 points of damage to me), but once out I was able to start causing chaos and freeing others. It was slightly humorous seeing a Chimeran running around a high tech human base (uhh...is there a button labeled "on"?) but once a few of us were up and moving about we had a much easier time of it.

Meanwhile my other character was deep inside a dream where she stood in the middle of a ruined New Orleans (her hometown) in a post apocalyptic setting. She wandered into a general store and in the basement there was a runic portal in the wall that opened to a crystal city, where a crystal insectoid creature saw the portal and came up to it, looking back at her with glowing red eyeslits. In confusion and fear she asked it who it was. Its thoughts echoed into her mind as it simply said "We are you.". When she denied it, it spoke further. "We created you. You are one of us.....and we are coming."

Our group got down to the lowest lab and saved the girl from being dissected by the lead scientist, Dr. Lazarus. While there we found another superhuman being held prisoner in the complex, a young Native American woman who went by the code name Thunderhawk with weather manipulation, flight, and sonic powers. By the time we took out Lazarus and his bodyguard (human cyborg with negative Ka emitters). We were preparing to leave by the Angelos' space bending gadget when two Elohim showed up....Aeris (goddess of discord and destruction) and Loki. They wanted to open the portal inside the base and let through a couple of the negative Ka entities in order to cause enough destruction that the various groups would be forced to work together, and would be stronger by the time the Chimeran fleet came.

My Chimeran said that sounded like a GREAT idea (being prone to chaos and destruction himself) and joined them. When Aeris allowed him to hit the controls to open the portal, he instead backhanded her into the wall. The Elohim in our group (Dagon, god of war) advanced on Loki and he took Aeris and disappeared, swearing this wasn't over. We then teleported to the top layer of the complex and prepared for our exit.
