Ok just thought someone might be interested in a super villain and superhero team I sketched out sometime ago and did nothing with.
Both teams were designed for use with Mutants & Masterminds so I have no stats for them at the moment.
Code Blue was a combination of a number of peoples input on the M&M forum. I’d created a character called Rescue (background posted on this forum some time ago) and it was suggested that a team was built round him that were a bit like Thunderbirds i.e. non lethal characters using their powers to rescue people from disasters.
Blood Pack are just a group of genetically altered villains I dreamed up for use in a game that never got played.

BLOOD PACK:
SNAPJAW (spieces-crocodile) powers: natural weapons (teeth, tail), underwater skills (amphibious, swim, ), protection(thick skin), drain (plasma - see write up below)
QUICKSTRIKE (speices-snake) powers: stretch, snare, paralysis, fangs, drain (plasma - see write up below)
ARMY (speices-red ants) powers: hive mind, alter form (swarm), pinchers,
drain (plasma - see write up below)
WIDOWMAKER (speices - spider) powers: paralysis, snare, cling, fangs, swing, drain (plasma - see write up below)
VAMPIRE ( speices - bat) powers: flight, sonar, fangs, claws, drain (plasma - see write up below)
BLOOD PACK: Genetic mutations that have escaped from a deep jungle miliary facility. They were bred to be the best fighting machines the army could field. They were designed to have a dependancy on the plasma found in blood. The army thought they could thus control them by controling their plasma supplies, how wrong they were.
Now the Blood Pack lives to kill and they are experts in this field.
CODE BLUE
Rescue – background posted previously.
Doc – While working in the hospital’s ER a 5-year-old girl is brought in the victim of a drive by shooting. The Doc spends all night trying in vain to save her little live. In the early hours of the morning he realizes nothing more can be done but feels it is his responsibility to stay by her side until she passes away. While sitting there holding her fragile hand he prays to god blaming him for his cruelty as the monitors start to flat line he feels a warmth in his hands and it spreads from him to the little girl, he starts to see her wounds in his mind and imagines them closing and healing suddenly the flat line signal stops. Opening his eyes he sees the little girl looking at him with a peaceful smile on her face…
Search Light – The man who would become searchlight was an engineer for a big mining company his job was to design and test a new deep earth personal mining suit. The concept was that the suit would use intense focused light to extract the minerals from the rocks. While on a test run a cave in trapped him under tones of rubble. He was trapped in a little pocket of air with no way out. Using his knowledge of engineering he reconfigured the suit so that it would give off one huge blast thereby freeing himself. It worked but an unfortunate side effect was that the uncontrolled power surge generated by the suit fused it to his body, now he depends on it for survival.
Life Line – The man who would become Life Line was a world-class rock climber. For his honeymoon he took his wife (also a rock climber) on a mountaineering holiday. While on the rock face one day the rope supporting his wife snapped and he just managed to grab her hand before she fell to her death. Knowing he could not hold on for long he looked around and noticed a ledge about 20m below. He weighed up the chances of his wife surviving the fall and if the ledge was strong enough to hold her if she did land on it. He knew there was no chose. He stretched himself as far as he could to give his wife the best possible chance but to his amazement kept on stretching until he gently lowered her to the ledge. The rescue team found them their 2 hours later.
Evac – Evac was designed as an all-purpose vehicle for the army to evacuate the wounded from fire zones. She was designed to be a female humanoid as the think tank thought a wounded man would respond to this better under stress. Unbeknownst to the army the scientist in charge had just lost his daughter to cancer; she had been a top nurse and trauma specialist before she died. What the professor did was totally unethical but then he was grief stricken. In the last minutes of his daughter’s life he down loaded her memories and implanted them into the android. When the true was found out it was deemed a disaster, far from being a piece of battlefield equipment the courts ruled that Evac was a sentient being. Now Evac does the only thing she knows and that is to look after the wounded and injured, she has found a life and a family in Code Blue, and is the teams only full time member living the life 24hrs a day.
Back draft / Floodgate – These twins were separated at birth and grow up in two totally different environments.
When in collage back draft was trapped with his roommate in a fire that ripped through their dorm (a prank that went wrong). His friend being scared rushed to open their dorm room door. Knowing the dangers of doing this back draft grabbed him just as the door opened and put his body between his mate’s and the door. Opening the door coursed a back draft and suddenly the fire flooded into the room and amazingly into back draft’s body until all the fire in the building had been absorbed.
Floodgate had always loved the sea and as a teenager she became a lifeguard and then trained as a safety consultant for an off shore oil company. While inspecting oil rig a storm blow up. At the time there was a two man diving bell at the bottom of the oil rig (the men in it were doing repairs to one of the pipes) trapped with their air supply running out Floodgate refused to allow anyone to die on her watch. She got into a pressurized suit and went down to see if she could at least repair their air supply. She miscalculated the storm and was soon in trouble herself she smacked her faceplate open on the leg of the rig and water rushed in. she soon stopped panicking when she realized she was still breathing. Seeing the diving bell below her she instinctively reached out with her mind and the water around it obeyed her commands slowly the bell rose to the surface.
Bulldozer – Big, strong and gentle were the words that describe the man mountain that would become Bulldozer. While working for a construction company building offices in South America an earthquake hit burying him and his work mates under tones of concrete. When the rescue teams finally got to them they were expecting to be removing the dead, to their amazement Bulldozer was standing over his workmates bracing up tones of rubble on his shoulders and stopping his friends from being crushed to death.
These people have all been recruited by Rescue as part of an advance rescue team to be called upon when disaster strikes. Floodgate and Back draft have been reunited and are starting to be brother and sister again, Evac sees the team as a family that will accept her for what she is and Search Light sees it as an opportunity to help people while trying to find a way to remove his dependence on his suit. What ever their personal situation one thing is for sure Code Blue is dedicated to helping people no matter their colour, nationality or believes. If disaster strikes any government in any country can call on the services of CODE BLUE.
