Greetings again!
So far I have had Godsend for a month now and I wanted to give some updated impressions. The story line is like Phil posted earlier, wonderfully deep and rich. I will even go so far as to say...
There is more consistent story possibilities and depth in Godsend Agenda than I have EVER seen in any other "Supers" RPG ever made. Period. I have played every superhero game that has been released since Marvel Superheroes by TSR. None of them have had a story line and setting that I would beg to see in print, until I read Godsend Agenda. Please get Godsend into a comic, the Vertigo line from DC seems perfect. (Hint hint)
I do not think I will need another Superhero RPG again. I believe the system and setting are good enough to warrant playing again and again for years to come. Although specific books detailing out periods of time would be great. Like a "Fantasy" supplement that might go over ancient Atlantis with swords and sorcery for example.
Anyway we have played 4 sessions so far and everyone is very happy. The system does not bog down the game and works very well with the setting. If I had any minor gripes they would be: Examples, we really could use more examples of character creation, combat, and use of powers. Clarifications on racial abilities and how they work in game (Shine, KA Bleeding, ect). Lastly, gadget rules could be expanded so as to be easier for players to know how to build items (Maybe have a base point cost for a weapon or power armor).
Anyone reading this keep in mind I am nit picking. These issues are not game breakers in the least. I think addressing these minor things could make a great game even better.
Again this is just one persons opinion...
