I just picked up the new Godsend Agenda and am very impressed. I liked the first edition and this one is even better.

My main complaint is the book needed a LOT more examples of how the rules work, particularly powers and combat.

For example, from the damage desciption it sounds like unless you have armor or some other defensive power, your damage resistance is 0 unless you spend character points. Yet, few if any of the sample characters in the book had any defenses, which seems to indicate any punk with a gun can take out an angelos or elohim.

That can't be right so I'm wondering what I'm missing.

Angelos without his armor would be vulnerable to attack as would an Elohim without a defensive power you are correct. Ka, Fate, and Character Points can be spent to negate damage.

The advantage that a super human has over a normal Joe is that they have a lot more powerful in other way such as attacks, attributes and skills. Supers aren’t nigh invulnerable like the Tick, just possessed of extraordinary abilities.

If a street punk won initiative that round on an unarmored Angelos or unaware Elohim yes they could do some serious damage….Then they roll initiative again and see how the next round of combat turns out. :D

By the way, what rules were unclear? Perhaps I can help you out here.
