I mean, see for yourself! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5508453273) Who in their right mind would arrive at a conclusion such as this?! Talk about letting primitive fear and superstition control your entire life. Way to live in the 21:st century, buddy!

Please. It's just a nice way to get a few more bucks out of a crappy rubber duck. I wish I'd thought of it!

Hmm, maybe I'll try selling my haunted underwear and possessed condoms!

I dunno, it seems pretty real. All that talk about prayers and consorting with the pastor and everything. And wouldn't claiming an object was haunted actually lower your chances of selling it? I seem to recall that being just the case with this item. (http://www.castleofspirits.com/hauntedpainting.html)

Yeah, it might be real. But I still wish I'd thought of it first!

And I wish all of my possessions were haunted.

*edit* Also, thanks for the cool link. That painting sold for $1000! Dude, I'm going to start selling haunted shit!

I had a professor once who was also a minister, and he claimed to also be a certified Exorcist from his church. He told us several exorcism stories, all involving houses and not people. They all seemed to involve opening both the front door and back door in the house and reciting some certain prayers and such. I'm not sure what happens if you didn't have a back door. Yes, it was all completely ridiculous. Still, it would be an evening’s worth of entertainment to buy the rubber ducky and then watch him perform an exorcism on it.

Wow! What religion was this? Was it just something he made up all on his own, or something? Man, Catholic priests (who're usually the ones most commonly associated with exorcism), never rush in and exorcise a place like that. Instead they take a long time to evaluate the "problem" from a scientific viewpoint and determine if an exorcism is even necessary. And even then it's only used as a last resort. Actually, that's pretty crazy as well; imagine a bunch of priests sitting around debating a problem scientifically to see if they need to resort to superstition as a last resort! Religion is stoopid, methinks. "Ridiculous" is the word, alright!

He was a minister in the "Liberal Catholic Church." He may have even considered a priest. I had never heard of the religion before, and since he was married, it clearly isn't affiliated with the Catholic Church except in name.

They seem to have a web page (http://www.liberalcatholic.org/about/), though. And it actually says they're not affiliated with the Catholic Church, but rather completely independent. Man, these guys suck; it's like they wanted their "own" religion but were too unimaginative to come up with anything original. Why couldn't they create a revival of the old Ishtar-cult, for example? Like with free sexy temple harlots and sacrifice and shit? If I had my chance to create my very own religion, man, that's what I'd do! Either that, or the world's first true Circus Church! It'd rule; the clowns would lead service and pass out pies in the face at communion! And we'd all laugh so much. Take that, "Liberal Catholic Church!" Ha!

Yeah, it might be real. But I still wish I'd thought of it first! When money's involved, there is no first -- get crackin' on your haunted Magic cards and stigmataed Heroclix
