Where's everyone going this Friday to celebrate Meat Day? Kaspar's Hot Dogs? Barney's for a burger? Carl's Jr.? Ken's house?

Meat day? Ha ha, you silly yankees sure have the dumbest holidays! "Meat day", indeed! Like a holiday that stupid could even exist! But OK, I'll play along. Hmm, what am I doing for "Meat Day"? Oh, yeah; I'm going to get infected with the Umbrella Virus and then make a meal out of my neighbours. Y'know, braaaaaiiinsss and all that. How about you guys?

Never heard of Meat Day - must be a Texas thing. But it gives me an idea for a new game show: Name That Meat. Contestants would try different samples of meat and try to guess the critter they're eating, and, for bonus points, the body part. It would be based on the Swedish game show, Name That Fish. And the home verison of the game would include McDonalds coupons.

El Tejano and I were among a group of Berkeleyians who decided to celebrate meat with the Nation's First Weekly Holiday (Other Than the Sabbath) by creating Meat Day.

We were going to establish an Internet church and everything!

But El Tejano never created the site!

And thus Meat Day remains a culty-cult.

I proclaim Sugar Day to be the same day as Meat Day. And the day after to be Satisfying Bowel Movement Day. At least, I hope.
