Wouldn't it be tragic if the single most hilarious work ever produced by NA!P in it's sextade of existence was the very first thing ever written, and it has declined ever since?

Thank goodness it isn't true! Fortunately, NA!P published a really funny Dwarf Lover episode one time. I don't remember which one, but it was really funny. Something about the plural form of lich. Oh and the one with the laser shooting elephant that stomps on Gary wasn't bad. I think I had a cameo in that one.

Oh, yeah, and The Dark Knight Returns was pretty delicious, too. That was NA!P, right?

Prop 209 was "Prohibition Against Discrimination or Preferential Treatment by State and Other Public Entities. Initiative Constitutional Amendment." Another anti-affirmative action think. I believe, but can't really remember, it's the reason that minority enrollment in state schools are down now.

Um, that prop actually sounded like a good idea. That is, if I've understood it correctly. It means the state can't discriminate against minorities, right? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. Why did you wote against it? I'd think someone with liberal tendencies would support it wholeheartedly. Maybe it's just me who's naïve...

All y'all yankee liberals would like the laws of Sweden. Here you can't even make a negative or slanderous comment against a minority group in a public discussion. It falls under a special law called "Hets mot folkgrupp", roughly translating into "Aggrevation against (an) ethnic group".

This means that if someone in a specific ethnic group which you insult should happen to walk by at that moment and take offence, he can fine you for provocation and slander if he can provide sufficient evidence and witnesses. This law mostly applies to politicans who happen to make stupid statements when they think the cameras are turned off.

USA should enforce a law like this. It helped drastically cut down on hate crimes here. You can't even wear a symbol which can be interpreted as racist in public in Sweden. The only place you are allowed to say whatever you want is in your own home. I dunno, maybe you yanks already have a law like this, and it's just me who's ignorant?
